Anna started with a rescue mare named Maddie. Coming off the feedlot, foal at her side, our best guess is that Maddie was employed as a broodmare. Anna explained what was transpiring ( second by second) as she moved and interacted with Maddie in the round pen.
If that wasn't remarkable enough, we then brought in Whiskey; our permanent resident gelding for the kids programs, and Anna once again began the conversation.
You simply have to be present to experience what transpires. You watch the interaction and can "see" the conversation taking place. Whiskey at 28 (the ol' Pro) was chatting it up, understanding exactly what Anna was asking/ communicating.
Once again Anna's second to second narration provided the explanation ~ and before our eyes....it made sense. They were communicating.
This skill is invaluable . The horses beam with delight and satisfaction. You can feel their appreciation. ....It was amazing and only the first day....
Check back tomorrow for the weekend review!
