The 3 orphan foals are settling in nicely. Getting used to us humans and the buckets for milk. I have stretched their night feeding to 5 hours , keeping me alive LOL. The scheduling of our fundraiser is all dependent upon the condition of the horses. Emotionally, they must be settling in nicely and enjoying their stay. Then we begin to search for avail. resources. It's difficult to do because caterers and rental services get resevered quickly.
But, we have to put the well being of all our rescues first.
This season we have 7 wild mares, NOT abused, but wild. They are figuring out life behind pipe-panels and much smaller pastures to enjoy. They all come from 10,000 to 100,000 acres of land.
It makes me sad , yes indeed. But we must remember. This is better than a horrific death, and a loving home may just be ok:)
Enjoy some of the new pictures.
