On to updates... PGE a party of 6 please....right this way....arrived thursday morning to take a look and have a chat. They were very nice, very helpful and are making plans. This is good. It's all very good. They have completed the removal of over 100 Euc trees towering over 200 feet. There are some remaining and the raptors and owls have returned:)
There is still work to be done. And so, while I am anxious to get the ranch back into operating condition, am also VERY interested in making sure the gas line and the electrical lines are well taken care of. A few more scrub oaks need removal, and.... then we need to address some issues...
We moved here over 10 years ago, and much of the back acreage was poison oak and scrub oaks....We cleared out alot to built portable shelters and pastures, and well.......now it would appear that the time is ripe for the 10 year upgrade.
PGE may well be putting in their own easement and building their own access road. We need at least 2 weeks of sunshine to make an assessment. There is an easement gate at the far end, and our driveway (in much need of repair) that are both easements and accessible. So we will wait out the rain, and when the sunshine arrives...begin to see what the next steps are.
I am not sure if a wine and cheese event will be possible in the early summer...we can cross our fingers! I will indeed keep everyone posted.
