Meant to post yesterday, but was exhausted , wet and it was long after dark by the time we rolled in. It was a drizzly wet afternoon, and the trailers were just a few. We had hoped for many rescues, but we saw only 3 including us. It is a big burden. Horses were haltered and and loaded for the trip. Above are images as we negotiated the large soggy pasture, and stood in the rain waiting to see who would go where. The last 2 images are of two pregnant mares at our foster pasture .They arrived quietly without incident and settled in. We return today. More pictures and information coming. NBC did cover the story for all the details. These poor horses, 2 years they have been waiting...
