Please see below and we can start there....Cinnamon Jim on the left (Needed a spice nice cause he's Nutmegs twin and we honor Brother Jim's passing 2 years ago to the day!) On the right is Willowmae! Super sweet and kind, Angela from Spirit Run Equine Rescue is doing a spectacular job providing quarantine, and clean wonderful digs for a mare to foal..as you can see Willow wasted no time :) I've been told CJ has a track created around momma in his paddock...boys got wheels!!
CJ and Willow are half way thru their quarantine, snotty noses getting better...and Johnny Mule too! (O457) That horrid slaughter tag has got to go!!! We call him Mr.Little Britches Johhny, full of character and personality. We can't wait to meet him! Angela says she's figured it out! He brays, sounds the alarm as soon as the hay is gone.......He must be on a "Quick let's eat more diet!"
To the right is a pretty chesnut mare with a white and sorrel colt. He is considered a pinto......ah, but a very special one. He is a Medicine hat with a shield . I align very closely with Native American tradition and Shamanic Medicine...These are signs.....Signs of our Power Animals working with us, helping us......providing for us. This little colt is special indeed . Big Love. Look up medicine hat pintos in Native American traditions...good stuff!
The beauty below our mare n foal pairs is a Bucksin mare that really started the entire campaign of love, financial support, and additional rescue.
Julia who owns, runs and trains out of the PMR Scotts Valley Facility stepped up and just purchased this pregnant mare with her own money..out of pocket!
Well we already all work for free, spend hours doing for these lives just because, ya know, you get it...they deserve it!
So here is Julia...stating "Well, I sort of panicked, wanted to see her safe." So with the out pouring of support we are able to provide for the Buckskin mare "Grace" who is spared slaughter and will come to PMR to foal. The folks on the lot originally thought Grace was untouchable, wild...but she was just scared...ya know terrified..smelling fear, not knowing what the heck was going on...and for good reason !!!
Once moved off the lot to decompress, I was told she haltered and loaded right up....Don't humans know horses have heart, like pups or cats, they look at us for love and security...Who can dump their beloved and walk away?? Grace will be just fine...we'll make sure!
Last image is our BEAUTIFUL mare Ari. Ari goes to Steinbeck on the 22nd for her reconstructive surgery. I had THE CUTEST T-SHIRT that had a photo of a red appy like Ari and it said
"Always be yourself, Unless you can be an Appoloosa! The always be an Appoloosa!"
More tomorrow about Jaden , the art he brought & The Pennies for PMR he collected, OUR big Day at the Monterey Youth Day at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds with another day scheduled tomorrow!
The mare n foal pairs are picked up tomorrow and head to Teaxs...Grace travelled today!!
LOVE MY COMMUNITY!!!! LOVE BELLA ONE AMAZING BIG HEARTED WOMAN!!! WHAT SHE HAS DONE / ACCOMPLISHED IS PHENOMINAL!!!
