Angela runs her own rescue out of Texas, and she has stated that these horses are stressed. In dire need of a soft place to land and BREATHE. When you see their feet and their injuries you will summarize quickly that they indeed have been mistreated.
Long horrible hooves mean they are confined. Wild horses, and horses on acreage wear their hooves down naturally. Being scarred up, banged up and sustaining major injuries, even when you are a foal translates to impatient rough handling...all for the convenience of saving time. Babies NEVER need to sustain these kinds of injuries.
It comes from being jostled around harshly, no time being given for their understanding of what is transpiring.
Why are humans so willing to treat living beings like potatoes in a box is beyond my comprehension. But it makes my blood boil. These are some of the worst looking horses for being mishandled. NOT starved mind you...but mistreated, mishandled and discarded.
