Dave (the hubby) and I spent yesterday at the Blues Festival, now being renamed "The Great American Musical Festival". It is the absolute one day of the year we set aside for each other and for our love of music!
I started the morning texting to my pals in Oregon and WA as I couldn't locate a hauer to get the paint mare off the lot in Sunnysiade. It had to be today. I coudn't talk on the phone becuase the music was to loud. So we were texting, trying to make the coordination happen. Finally after 20 minutes I was blessed to have Mustangs to the Rescue pull our mare off the lot and take her to their place. She is doing 60 days QT there, as it is necessary coming off these lots. By the time that was arranged, I spent another 30 minutes and about 20 unsuccessful tries sending paypal to cover her costs..(thanks everyone who donated to this girls safety).
Finally texted my daugher, who came to the rescue! So the summary~ The mare in Washinton, pulled and goes to Oregon for a save from California, paid for from our account by my daughter in Nevada! Takes alot of jugglng to save a life.
My husband by then was beginning to give me the stink eye...so I finshed up and waited for my all time favorite musician, Bonnie Raitt. She was magical, and wonderful..even reminisced about the 1970's..my what memories. She mentioned the Diablo Power Plant, and I remembered driving down to the sit in to protest....All those years ago.
Time skirts by and you blink, your kids are grown, and your in a completely different place in life......I heard a whisper...Take a breath and experience the day..and so I did.
