The American Horse Protection Association has compiled this two-part list of organizations that can provide assistance to those faced with equine rescue, rehabilitation, retirement and adoption issues.
The first section is comprised of organizations that have provided AHPA with extensive information concerning their facilities and programs.
The second section is comprised of organizations of which AHPA is aware, but about which AHPA has relatively limited knowledge.
Although AHPA believes that all of the listed organizations are capable of providing valuable assistance, given the number and geographic diversity of the groups listed, AHPA is not able to verify the services provided by each, and cannot necessarily endorse an organization. Asterisks (*) donate organizations that have been accredited or verified by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS).
