Because if you don’t ask….you can never know.

There is a piece of property across the road from me. It is a lovely 14.5 acre pasture. It slopes gently down to the road I live on. This piece of land is home to a variety of shade trees, and a creek meanders it way from the north end to the south of its perimeter. I’ve heard it even has a well on it.

It presently has some fencing around it. It’s kind of shabby, but the horses living there now never seem to bother with the fence. There is so much grass and wide open space, they seem unconcerned with the ‘borders’.

I have had my eye on this land for a number of years. This is because I used to hold a realtors license. I researched and fell in love with this land.  I was even more excited when I found out that this land was deemed non-buildable. For most potential interested parties this would be terrible news. But for me, it was a song to my ears! What this means is that it is a perfect piece of property for horses to live on.  It’s the legacy Pregnant Mare Rescue needs to ensure horses in our community have a safe haven for years to come.

Its’ value has dropped dramatically due to the fact that one can never build a home or residence on it.  It has become most affordable in this gorgeous area we love to call home.
