A horse is considered "My friend of one thousand years". It is not because we have been friends since we were little children. It is because we have been friends through many lifetimes. Horses have unique abilities to connect unlike anyone I have encountered. There is a talent that lies in doing "quiet" well, and this is where their gift lies. Our rescues arrive in a variety of emotional states. We only know that they have suffered, we usually don't have many details. To understand what trauma lies beneath the surface provides amazing insights and opportunity for healing and rehabilitation. We may not know what happened, but we can ascertain what kind of damage has been done. Are they angry, withdrawn, fragile, unconfident, completely broken down, vacant in the eyes, crippled, in pain, just scared to death, or experiencing a huge loss?
Telepathically, all horses are united, they are all part of one herd. They understand slaughter and abuse, and they understand that humans have been mistreating horses since the beginning of time. So what happens when a horse lands on blessed sacred ground like PMR? (Yes, we have been blessed by Native American fathers.) What happens when they, perhaps for the first time in their lives are listened to, respected and taught in a way they can understand?
Stay tuned and travel with us as we move further into our groundbreaking work. Miracles lie ahead. ~ Lynn
